Electricity consumption on dehumidifiers
Electricity consumption on a dehumidifier is affected by many factors such as the density of the space, the volume of the space, the moisture load and the purity of the filter.
Electricity consumption dehumidifier
Electricity consumption on a dehumidifier is affected by many factors such as the density of the space, the volume of the space, the moisture load and the purity of the filter. It is therefore not possible to say exactly how much electricity your dehumidifier will consume, but there are factors that affect and we have listed them here for you.
Factors affecting electricity consumption:
Here we have listed the factors that affect the electricity consumption of your dehumidifier, and these you can actually influence yourself.
- Installation
It is important to install the dehumidifier according to the installation instructions.
- Sealing of the space
Carefully seal the space. Check the tightness daytime and you will easier discover cracks and other openings.
- Moisture supplement crawl space
If the space is not sealed, the ground is poorly drained or the breeding grounds are broken, you increase the moisture supplement in your crawl space. Normally, there is always higher moisture in the creeping ground during spring, summer and autumn.
- Moisture supplement attic
If space is not sealed, moisture barrier is missing between housing and attic, gable valves are not sealed, increase moisture in your cold wind. Normally, you always have higher humidity in the cold wind during winter and spring.
- Filter replacement
A desiccant dehumidifier is dependent on air flow to be able to dehumidify effectively. If the filter becomes dirty, the dehumidifier capacity decreases. Therefore, make sure to change filters twice a year.
